About

We think we're going to have the cutest kids in the universe someday. Don't you agree?

Hello, I'm Larissa.

I'm 27, and happily approaching my thirties. I was born and raised on Maui, Hawaii and now live in the majestic City of Angels with my husband, Steve. We live in a 100-year old home that we affectionately refer to as The Blue House, and both work as pastors for college students on a university campus.

I have many hobbies, including cooking, gardening, shopping in thrift stores, painting, playing guitar, sewing, playing poker, and exploring new places. I have so many hobbies, in fact, that I often think to myself, "I should actually become proficient in one of these..." But before I can do that, I find something new to distract me. I also adore manatees, Cabernet Sauvignon, gardenias, and coffee.

I generally like who I am, but also have high hopes for who I am becoming. Ideally, it would be a woman with a little more courage, patience, compassion and things like that. I laugh a little too loudly, daydream too much, and own way too many purses for my own good. You can learn a little more about me in my Highlights of 2007 post.

On a whim, I began The Larissa Monologues in March of 2007, and discovered the joys of blogging. It is my place to share about my life, adventures and reflections.

Welcome to my world. Now please introduce yourself!
